7-Way Adapter for 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Towing Surge Brake Trailer
Question:
I have a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser it has a 4 pin flat trailer light connector. I need to connect to a Yamaha boat trailer that has a round seven blade connector. Also the trailer has surge brakes. Is there an adapter that will work.

To convert your 4-way to a 7-way to tow your trailer with surge brakes you'd want the 7-way adapter part # 37185 which your 4-way would plug into. You'd need to run the purple wire to the reverse light circuit of your FJ Cruiser to activate the reverse lockout solenoid of your surge brake actuator. For wire you could use the # 16-1-1 which we sell by the foot.
