Can A 12V Brake Controller Work With A 24V System?

Are all electric brakes 12V? Are there 24V and how do I identify them?

Trailer brake controllers, like the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller # 39510 are designed for 12v systems, however you can re-wire it to work on 24v systems.
I have attached a help article that will help you with the re-wire process, but you're going to need a Tekonsha 30 Amp Circuit Breaker # 7012A, and 10 Gauge Primary Wire # 10-1-1 to run power to your controller and the brake output wire to your 7-way.
