What 2-Bike Rack Can I Use on My Subaru Outback and My Motorhome?
Question:
I’m interested in your item number INH120 bike rack. Can this rack be used on a 2010 Holiday Rambler Arista motorhome and moved to a Subaru Outback?

While the Inno Tire Hold 2 # INH120 works great on your Subaru Outback, it unfortunately cannot mount onto your 2010 Holiday Rambler Arista Motorhome. This is because the Tire Hold 2 is not engineered to withstand the extra torque and force exerted on the rack when at the rear of the motorhome. Trying to attach a non-compatible rack on a longer vehicle is extremely unsafe and not recommended.
With that being said, a great solution is to use the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # KU84FR. The Transfer V2 comes with the a 60-pound per-bike weight capacity and comes with the same wheel-mount style as the Tire Hold 2. You can also tilt the rack with bikes loaded to access the trunk. Unlike the Tire Hold 2, the Transfer V2 is 100% safe to use on your motorhome and your Subaru Outback wagon as long as you have a 2-inch hitch installed. Since the measurement of the center of the pinhole to the closest part of the rack measures 6-1/2", I recommend you measure from the center of your pinhole to the outside face of the rear bumper on your Arista and your Outback to make sure that measurement does not exceed 6-1/2 inches. If that measurement does not go over 6-1/2 inches, you have enough shank length on the Transfer V2 to clear the rear bumpers. For fat bike tires between 3" and 4.8", you need the Phat Tire Straps # APBK.
If you happen to need a hitch receiver for your motorhome, I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 66" Wide # C13704. With the Curt hitch, you can adjust the brackets from 22-66 inches in order to fit the frame of the Arista. I recommend measuring your frame from left to right in order to make sure it falls within this width parameter.
For your Subaru Outback, feel free to respond with the year of your vehicle, and I will be happy to find a hitch that works for you and the rack.
