Troubleshooting Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller Not Active with 2002 Chevy Silverado
Question:
Hi! We tried to connect our adapter to our 2002 Chevy Silverado yesterday and the led light never lit up and it wouldn’t connect to Bluetooth. It would activate the brakes, hazards, and turns signals though the adapter. Does this mean it is getting power or will it activate the lights even if it’s not getting power? We just had the 7 way plug installed at Uhaul recently and I’m wondering if maybe they didn’t actually run power to it. Thanks for your help!

Your 2002 Chevy Silverado needs a couple connections under the hood to be made for the 12 volt accessory circuit to be active which is what powers the Curt Echo part # C51180. If you check out the attached review article you can see exactly what you'll need to do.
