Where Does Trailer 12 Volt Aux Circuit Run on Trailer Wiring
Question:
K so after changing the wiring someone connected incorrectly, to be routed according to the new plug. The plug is wired the same as the plug above here... I went through a bunch of issues trying to figure out what these ppl did with the trailer wiring harness on the trailer itself... now after going through and getting everything to work i still have 2 issues. One the controller module gor the trailer says its not connected when its plugged in and the marks now do not co.e on but they did before i connected the brakes... So when i think the issue is, is that i have tge aux and brake wires reversed from where they should be according to their functions. What should be connecting to the aux wire coming into the trailer from the truck. ... not the color of the wire... the function of the wire. The trailer has a breakaway, has a battery and has electric brakes.

Expert Reply:
The 12 volt aux circuit of trailer wiring would run to your breakaway kit and trailer battery on the trailer side and then on the vehicle side would run to the positive post of the vehicle battery.
