Will The Malone FoldAway-5 Kayak Carrier Fit On A 2016 Mazda CX-5 With Factory Rack
Question:
I have a 2016 Mazda CX5, would like to buy this to transport 2 kayaks. In the demo video, there was 4inch clearance to the roof. The built-in Mazda crossbars only give 2inch clearance less at the edges, where they are reinforced with plastic. Is this enough clearance to install the system?

Expert Reply:
The Malone FoldAway-5 Kayak, SUP, and Canoe Carrier with Tie Downs - J-Style - Folding - Side Loading, part # MAL38FR, works as a kayak stacker when you are transporting two kayaks. You will have plenty of clearance. This carrier comes with two different bolt lengths. You will use the short bolts during installation.
I have included a video review link below.
