Fitment of the TorkLift GlowStep Camper Scissor Steps
Question:
Hello! I have an awkward access situation in our home. See the attached photo. Behind the door is our mechanicals. We have been using a ladder, but I am curious if your scissor steps would work as a more permanent solution? I believe the rise and run where there scissor step would intersect the existing stairs works with your 6 step. What I cant tell from the information on the website or the video is: - How much do the stairs weigh? As opposed to weight capacity. - Once the stairs are on the bracket, are they easily removable for storage elsewhere? - I believe I heard on the video, when retracted they 15. Is this accurate? - Are there springs that aid in retracting the stairs? - How are they locked in the closed position? Is this a task where I need to be at eye level with for it to be done? Sorry for the nit picky questions. I am so intrigued by your product. Thanks so much for your time and expertise.

The TorkLift GlowStep Camper Scissor Steps, # TLA7806 weighs 40 lbs. They can be removed from their mount point. Yes, when it is folded, will be about 15". These are not spring loaded but easily retracted.
