The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" item # e98841 you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport without the towing package. It bolts directly to your Hyundai's frame with included hardware. It has a maximum gross trailer weight of 6,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 900 lbs. I have linked an installation video so you can follow along with the process and see what the final product will be.
Since your Santa Fe Sport does not have the factory towing package you will want the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # 118571. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Santa Fe's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights.
You will also need the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
You will want to verify with your Santa Fe's owners manual to confirm your vehicle's towing capacity.
