Recommended Skid Wheels For A 36' Fifth Wheel Trailer

Question:

I have a 36’ fifth wheel with a total weight of 15,000# which I have only dragged the hitch once on and there was really only a small drag scar on the receiver. I need about 5” from the hitch to ground for wheel contact so these appear to be about the right height. I suspect the actual weight at the rear would not be that great and would sure try to avoid a huge dip or incline. Are these a good choice or will one of the receiver mount ones work?

Since your trailer is 36' in length you'll actually want to go with the Ultra-Fab Skid Wheels for Class A RVs 34' and Longer - 6" Diameter # UF48-979013. These are going to be a little bit larger than the 5" you were looking for but they are the only compatible skid wheels for your trailer's length.

The brackets will need to be welded to the frame of your trailer, which will then allow you to bolt on the wheels.
