Brake Controller for 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L With Factory Tow Package
Question:
Hey, i have a 2021 Grand Cherokee L with factory tow package. I have searched and couldnt find anything in manual. Does the tow package have a brake controller hidden somewhere or is it in the u connect system? When i search your site, the options say without tow package. Thank you!

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L with the factory tow package does not come with a brake controller so you will need to add one. The reason you don't see a listing with the factory tow package is because there are no custom wiring harnesses that are confirmed to fit for a plug and play option so installation will require hard wiring the brake controller into your Jeep.
The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR would be a great choice and one I highly recommend. The main unit installs out of sight with only the knob in the cab of your vehicle. The control knob will allow you to adjust your braking power and also acts as a manual override.
If you would like to avoid the hard wire installation then the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 is another great option. This plugs in-line with the 7-way at the back of your vehicle and is controlled via the app.
I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference.
