2013 Ford Flex Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Comparison
Question:
I have a 2013 Ford Flex non-ecoboost, without adaptive cruise control. I want a Blue Ox baseplate. It shows 2 options Code BX2645 and BX2636. What is the difference between these two options?

Great question!
The Blue Ox Part # BX2636 has fixed tabs that will always be exposed while the Blue Ox Part # BX2645 has removeable tabs which give you a cleaner look on your 2013 Ford Flex when you aren't flat towing it. I recommend going with the part # BX2645 for the cleaner aesthetic.
For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
