Which Wire is the Power Wire on Derale Direct-Mount Remote Cooler Kit for 1987 - 2006 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
On the fan wiring , which is the hot wire ?black ? or the blue? Two sets of directions floating out there. One that says the silver and red label says its the black and blue is ground . Which on my fan doesnt have that label . Can you help me out ?

From what I have found, when wiring your Derale Direct-Mount Remote Cooler Kit for 1987 - 2006 Jeep Wrangler # D20561 the back wire is the hot wire/power wire and the blue wire is the ground. That being said, you won't damage the cooler if these are mixed up. The wiring will only impact the direction of the fan.
I recommend using jumper wires to give the fan power to confirm that it is pulling air through the core and out of the back of the fan. If it does not work that way, then you just need to reverse the wires and it should work as intended.
