What Parts do You Recommend to Flat-Tow My 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid?
Question:
I have a Class A motorhome Fleetwood Bounder 32BH, and would like to flat tow my 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid. I was wanting the correct roadmaster nighthawk kit and tow bar with all the other necessary accessories like wiring etc. Can you please help me determine the correct parts I will need so I can add them to the shopping cart? Need help. Thanks!

For flat-towing your 2018 Ford Fusion hybrid with the Roadmaster Nighthawk # RM-676, you need a compatible base plate, a tow braking system, and vehicle tow wiring. For those recommendations, I suggest the following:
- Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-524458-5
- Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524 with the relay # RM-88400
- Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-152
The great thing about the Roadmaster base plate kit is that is simply installs into your Edge's chassis without the need of an adapter to work with the Nighthawk. It comes with all required hardware. In addition, you will also receive the proportional action of the Brake Buddy Select 3 which applies the Edge's brakes at the same level that you apply the brakes to your RV. With the diode kit, this will allow you to connect your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights to your Edge's lighting system. Since the Nighthawk comes with the 6-way plug already, I recommended a diode kit that doesn't include that component.
