Correct Bearing Kit and Brakes for Lippert 4,400 Pound Axle
Question:
I have a 2 Lippert GAWR 4400 lbs axles. Manufacturers date 9/5/2007. Serial # 549181. I would like to replace bearings, dust caps and brakes. I am not sure what to order. Can you help me find the parts? Thank you.

Thank you for providing that helpful information. I reached out to Lippert and the bearing kit you need is the Bearing Kit, LM67048/25580 Bearings, 10-36 Seal # BK3-300. They did not have the brake information but based on the bearings it looks like you have a 5,200 lb axle hub on there with a 12" drum and a 5 bolt brake mounting flange pattern. I recommend measuring just to be sure.
If that is the case, I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 5.2K to 7K # AKEBRK-7-SA. If you find that you have a 10" drum with 4 bolt brake mounting flange then you need the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 4.4K # K23-478-479 instead.
For a dust cap, again you will need to measure. The measurement you are looking for is the hub bore diameter. I have attached a link to all of our caps which can be filtered down by hub bore diameter.
