Front Mounted Receiver and Cargo Carrier Suggested for 2015 Ford F-250
Question:
Hello, I have a 2015 F250 with the FX4 package. 6 3\4 bed. No snowplow package. Rear air bags. I have a slide in camper weighing 1700 lbs. Im thinking about attaching a front mount hitch to be able to carry approximately 75 lbs of equipment on a carrier attached to the hitch. Can you advise if my truck could handle the additional weight on the front end, if I need to beef up springs or shocks and recommend a front mount hitch and carrier, approximately 20 wide by 36 long, just for this purpose? Thank you for any information or advise you can provide.

Let's begin with the hitch. For that, the Draw-Tite # 65049 you'd looked at would work great for you.
For a cargo carrier, the 20x48 Reese # 6502 is the closest thing we offer to the 20x36 dimension you mentioned. The carrier itself weighs about 45 lbs. When coupled with the 75 lbs of equipment you're wanting to carry, you're looking at about 120 lbs which your front suspension should handle just fine as that weight isn't a whole lot more than what many grille guards weigh.
I've linked to an install video for the front hitch as well as to a demonstration video for the cargo carrying tray I recommended.
