Best SumoSprings For 2021 Jayco Redhawk 29XK on Ford E-450 Chassis

Question:

Hi, I am in the process to upgrade the suspension on my 2021 Jayco Redhawk 29XK Ford E-450. I already have installed the Roadmaster Reflex steering damper but I would like to add helper springs to front and rear. What weight/load that will be required to support the motorhome. I was looking at the Sumo springs SSF-106-47 with a capacity of 1000lbs since the GWCW is 22000lbs. Not sure if they will help. Any advice for the proper capacity of helper spring front and rear for will be well appreciated. Best regards

SumoSprings are a really good idea for your 2021 Jayco Redhawk 29XK to further improve its ride, and for the front springs I recommend the 1,000 lb capacity you mentioned, along with 5,000 lb capacity for the rear. The correct fit for your '21 Redhawk 29XK on a Ford E-450 chassis are the following:

- Front Axle: SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSF-106-47

- Rear Axle: SumoSprings Maxim Custom Helper Springs # SSR-106-47-1

The 1k capacity springs are the highest for your motorhome, and front springs always have a lesser capacity than rear because there isn't as much weight on the front, so not as much support is required. The 5k will offer the best overall support for the rear of your Jayco, and the combination of these kits will do a superb job to improve your ride.

They will help level your rig, naturally increasing its handling the weight will be evenly spread out. The SumoSprings also compress independently, which is important on a motorhome because when you are passing a truck, or when there are heavy crosswinds, the SumoSprings will engage on whichever side is being pushed. This helps reduce body roll and sway, giving you a smoother, more controlled ride.
