Is Clearsource Ultra RV Water Filter System Only Available with PEX Fittings
Question:
Hi, Im looking to add a clearsource filter system to our 5th wheel. I like the idea of the onboard model so it is just hooked upped and working and stores away. My only 2 concerns are that the ends included are barbs which require crimping I prefer shark-bite style fittings for the ease of ues and filling the on-board fresh water tank. It seems I would have to add a Tee with MHT onboard to connect a hose to unless I wanted to hard plumb a pex line into the freshwater tank, but either option would need a shut-off valve in line. It seems like the outboard model, the one that is free standing and sets up outside the trailer, would be the easiest. Connect a hose like normal and Bobs your uncle. As far as the first concern, is it possible to get the on-board model with different fittings, or are 1/2inch pex barbs the only option on this one? I guess I could always get the outdoor model and mount it on-board and use the FMT and HT fittings and not have to mess with crimping. So, thoughts on all of this? Thanks,

If you are willing to make the modification to the Clearsource Ultra RV Water Filter System w/ VirusGuard - 3 Canister - Outdoor # CS87FR I think that's going to be your best option as we are only able to get this kit with the PEX fittings.
