Required Water Pressure for Clearsource Onboard Pro RV Water Filter System with 3 Cannisters
Question:
Yes, apparently designed for campground or other rv external pressurized water source. How would this system function pressurized by an rv water pump as when dry camping? Immediately downstream from the pump?

Expert Reply:
I can't speak specifically about any one water pump as they are not all the same but when asked about water pressure, this is what Clearsource had to say in reference to the Clearsource Onboard Pro RV Water Filter System part # CS59FR.
"The inlet pressure has little to no effect on filter performance. Inlet pressure does affect water flow. We test our systems at a very low 40 psi of inlet pressure. In that environment, our Clearsource Ultra three canister systems produce approximately 5.5 gallons per minute of water flow. Most newer RVs will tolerate 60 psi of pressure, and most RV plumbing fixtures flow at approximately 2 gallons per minute. We recommend staying within the manufacturers pressure recommendations. If you do, our systems will perform excellent, with unmatched filtration and industry leading water flow. see less."
