Can the inlets on this be twisted so that the hatch can be installed vertically instead of horizontally?

It is not recommended to alter the Valterra RV Fresh-Water Inlet w/ Lockable Hatch - Brass Check Valve - Gravity Fill - Black # A01-2000BKVP.
Altering the product will void any warranty and you as the customer will be liable for any damages that may or may not happen.
