Electric Brakes to Replace Hydraulic on 3,500 lb UFP Hub & Drum

Question:

I have a boat trailer with UFP HD-1377-10 hydraulic brakes and want to know if there is a lot to convert the to electric brakes within the same hub. Thank you!

Yes, you can convert from hydraulic brakes to electric brakes with your UFP HD-1377-10 hub and drum. That is a standard 10" diameter x 2-1/4" wide drum rated for 3,500 lb axles, so you can use electric brakes that fit inside the drum, and have options for self-adjusting or manual adjust brakes:

- Self-Adjusting: Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-468-469

- Manual Adjust: Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-26-27

Both of these kits come with the left-hand and right-hand brakes, and also come with the installation hardware. The only other thing you may need (if you don't already have one) is an adjustment spoon if you go with the manual adjust, the Brake Adjustment Spoon for Drum Brakes # W80630.
