Weight Distribution Hitch w/ 7 Rise For 2021 Forest River Flagstaff E-Pro E15TB

Question:

I have a Redarc Tow pro elite in my 2019 Tacoma that I use to tow the same trailer. Can I get the Redarc tow pro for my Van instead of the Drawtite?

Your 2021 Forest River Flagstaff E-Pro E15TB has a GVWR of nearly 3,900 lbs, so a good estimate for your loaded tongue weight is going to be in the 450 lb - 500 lb range. For that tongue weight, what you will need for a weight distribution hitch that will give you the rise you need is one from Blue Ox:

- Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 7-Hole Shank # BLU36FR

The TrackPro # BLU36FR has a maximum rise of 8 inch, and is for loaded tongue weights between 200 lbs and 600 lbs, which will be the exact range your loaded tongue weight is in. I really like this system's superior sway control at both the hitch head and brackets, which is better than other systems that just offer control at the brackets.

This hitch is also easier than other hitches to set up, with brackets that just clamp on and a hitch head that you don't have to continually adjust, which is something that a lot of other hitches require. It also comes with a 2" hitch ball, but if you need a 2-5/16" hitch ball you can add the Curt # C40030.

As for the wiring and brake controller, we can do that as well. Since you already have the 4-way, you will just need to add the 7-way with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # ETBC7.

This will allow you to install a brake controller, and by far my favorite option due to the value it provides with its combination of cost and quality is the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller # TK63VR.

To install it you will also need the Brake Control Harness # 20127.

Yes, your van can absolutely use the Redarc brake controller in your van. You will just need the controller itself, as well as the 7-way upgrade kit: - Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR - Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # ETBC7
