What Bumper Bike Rack do You Recommend for My 2 Fat-Tire E-Bikes on My 2021 Lance Travel Trailer?
Question:
Hi, we have a Lance 2021 TT model 2285. We just bought two Aventon Adventure fat tire bikes, big 4” tires. Without the battery they weight about 60 pounds each. Do you happen to have a bike rack that we can use our bumper or ladder to hall the bikes? Have a good day!

I have a bike-transporting solution for you on your 2021 Lance TT 2285. Unfortunately, all of our ladder-mounted bike racks do not give you the required weight capacity for hauling your 60-pound Aventon Adventure fat tire e-bikes.
With that being said, we do have a bumper-mount solution for you. In order to mount a bike rack with the required capacity to your bumper, you need the Ultra-Fab 2" Motor Home Trailer Hitch Receiver for 4" x 4" Bumpers # UF35-946402. This hitch receiver fits industry-standard 4 inch x 4 inch trailer bumpers and has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds. It comes with all required installation hardware. I recommend consulting with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure your bumper can handle that much weight.
For a great bike rack that can both give you the weight capacity you need as well as withstand the increased force exerted on the rack at the rear of your travel trailer, I recommend the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR. Not only is the E-Spec constructed for brute strength, it also provides you with 70 pounds of per-bike weight capacity. Since you plan on transporting fat bikes, you need the fat tire adapters # S64679 for each bike. Also, depending on what Aventon Adventure model you have, I recommend the Swagman bike frame adapter bar # 64005 if you have a step-thru style frame or an alternative frame-style Adventure. This will allow you to attach the bike to the ratcheting hooks of the E-Spec.
