Front Suspension Upgrade for a 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
I dont have a plow or camper package on my 2020 Silverado 2500 - so standard front suspension. Is there any need to upgrade the suspension in order to put 1000 lbs of weight on the front hitch receiver?

Expert Reply:
Yes, you should definitely upgrade the front suspension on your 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 if you're going to be using the EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver item # EH57FR. That much weight will put a lot of stress on your factory suspension and ball joints. The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Front item # SSF-202-47 have an 1,800 lbs capacity. These will support the heavy front-end loads you are going to be placing on your truck and it will keep your front end level. You should check the owners manual to make sure you do not exceed the vertical load limit for the front receiver.
