I have primus brake controler should I have 12 bolts from brake light switch or is it ground signal?

The brake light switch wire on the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # TK90160 should be positive. That means there will be 12V power running through the wire when the brakes are applied.
