Roof Rack and Rear Loading Kayak Carrier Recommendation for a 2021 Honda CR-V
Question:
I want to explore one more option before decide. I am coming up to 7o yrs this Fall. Fairly stronghorses and donkey chores What about the Thule Hullavator as a side load option? What is needed to make that work and are people as happy as the reviews sound?

For your application I recommend going with a Yakima setup, both for the roof rack and for the kayak carrier. To install a Yakima roof rack on your 2021 Honda CR-V you need the following:
50" JetStream Crossbars - Black # Y00425
SkyLine Towers - # Y53TR
Landing Pad 19 - # Y00245
Lock Core Kit - # Y07204 (optional)
The Rhino-Rack Nautic 581 Rear Loading Kayak Carrier # RR581 will fit the channels of the Yakima system just fine and it's a good rear-loading kayak carrier, I just really like the Yakima Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # Y04083-04082 because of the rear set of rollers as they will make loading the kayak easier than pushing them on the saddles like what you see with the Nautic 581. An added feature to using the Yakima system is that you can use the 8 Lock Core Kit # Y07208 for matching locks to the roof rack system.
I'm attaching some review videos for you to check out.
