Gen-Y Gooseneck Pin Box over the Reese Goosebox for a 2014 Grand Design Reflection 337RLS

Question:

I currently have a 2014 Grand Design Reflection 337rls. I tow it with a 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax short bed and have the BandW turnover gooseball installed with the BandW Slider companion hitch. I am looking at switching the pin box to one of the gooseneck options and get rid of the 5th wheel hitch. I know I will most likely need the 4inch offset due to the short bed. But I am torn between the Gen Y executive or the Reese Goosebox. Which would be the better option? Thank You!

I would be happy to help you find a Gooseneck pin box for your 2014 Grand Design Reflection 337RLS. I recommend going with the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # GY66FR over the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter item # RP85FR.

The Gen-Y has a shock-absorbing pin box that works without having to rely on airbags like the Reese. The shock-absorbing design functions like a torsion axle to limit transfer of road shock from trailer to truck and vice versa. This ensures a smooth and steady ride. The Gen-Y also has a built in pin weight scale to help you balance your trailer.

The offset ball for your B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch item # BWGNRK1020 is the 4" Offset Ball for B&W Turnoverball item # BWGNXA4085.
