We do have the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e75ZR that has been confirmed to fit on your 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Platinum.
This receiver is a class III receiver size with a 500lb tongue weight rating and trailer rating of 5,000lbs. Be sure to not exceed any specifications from Toyota on your specific Highlander. I have linked an installation video below for the 2022 model year Highlander XLE Hybrid. I do feel our receiver is the better looking of the 2 as it is powder coated in a matte black finish that matches better with the black trim panels on most vehicles. The # e75ZR has a hidden crosstube so only the receiver opening will fit.
The 18" and smaller spare tire size should not be an issue as the information I found shows that your Hybrid will come with a compact spare.
I recommend installing the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK99FR when you install the receiver. It will be easier to run the wiring and secure it in place on your Highlander before the receiver is installed. The Mounting Bracket # C58001 will allow you to secure the connector to the end of the receiver tube where it is easily accessed.
