Recommended Portable Solar Panel System For Charging An AGM Battery
Question:
Looking for any advice to charge my AGM battery. Maybe a small potable solar panel with a charge controller etc.Don’t really want to install on my roof. Something simple set up , so that I can maintain my battery , when hook up is not available.I can easily disconnect the converter when needed, and temporary hook up this solar set up when needed.

There are portable solar panel system available that will allow for exactly what you're wanting to do. The only thing you'll need to know is just how much power you're needing to replenish with the system in a day. The Go Power Eco Solar Charging System - 10 Watt Solar Panel # 34273836 you were looking at has to be mounted to something because it doesn't come with a stand and is only a 10 watt panel, so you'll only replenish approximately 3.42 amp hours a day in peak conditions.
The Go Power Portable Solar Panel with Digital Solar Controller - 90 Watt Solar Panel # 34282610 has a 90 watt panel to replenish approximately 30amp hours a day in peak conditions. It comes with a stand so it can be moved around to follow the sunlight and allow you to park your trailer in the shade. These portable models include a built-in solar controller, solar cable, battery clamps, ring terminals, quick-connect cables, SAE solar plug, and XLR-style solar plug for multiple battery connection types and a convenient carrying case to house all the equipment in when not in use.
The Extension Cable for Go Power Portable Solar Kit - 30' Long # 34270356 can be used to ensure your panels are in a prime location for sunlight.
I've attached some of our help articles on solar power below that offer a ton of very useful information. I highly recommend checking them out.
