Hitch and 3-Bike Rack for 2012 Toyota Prius

Question:

Hey there eTrailer folks, Ive got a 2012 Prius regular hatchback, not a C or V. Id like to figure out a way to carry three bikes on the back: one adult bike sometimes full suspension, and two kids bikes 24inch wheels. Im thinking a tray-style would be best because most of our bikes wont work with a hanging-style rack. Is this even possible? It seems like I might be limited to adding a hitch and two bike racks. Thanks!

The EcoHitch part # 306-X7178 for your 2012 Toyota Prius has a 2 inch opening which means it could carry a 3 bike rack like you'd need. The RockyMounts WestSlope part # RKY10223 would be a great 3 bike rack to fit this hitch. Platform bike racks like this are the easiest to load and unload and hold the bikes much more securely which prevents them from hitting each other.
