Adding Light Kit to Hollywood Racks Bike Rack HLY64FR

Question:

Attached is a photo of two ebikes on a bike rack on the back of a Jayco Pinnacle 5th wheel similar to ours. Notice that both the tail lights and license plate are obscured, which is not legal on the road. Really like the Hollywood rack HLY64FR, but reluctant to purchase unless I could figure something out for the tail lights and license plate, the latter requiring illumination. Would also need a 4-pin connector to tie into the tail lights on the RV. Dealer says there is a place to tie in right behind the license plate. Pinnacle has a factory mounted 2” receiver rated for 300 lbs. Any thoughts?

For the bike racks we carry we don't offer custom made license plate relocation brackets or taillight kits because in general those being blocked is not an issue for vehicles and RVs. RVs in general are much larger too which puts the taillights further out and more visible. We are aware some people come up with solutions like what you are looking for for but for the vast majority of people who do not make any changes the obstruction is not an issue at all and police do not create any issues. I've personally driven around with a cargo carrier blocking the license plate on my SUV for years without it ever being an issue.

Now if you wanted to add a light kit to the Hollywood Racks Bike Rack # HLY64FR you certainly could by using the LED kit part # 98174LED to add the lights and then use the bracket # BK70BB and you'd be set. You'd have to attach the brackets to the underside of the bar that holds the bike wheel cradles. To add a 4-way to your RV you could use the # 18252 which would tap into the taillights of the RV.
