Can I Use a Spray-In Bed Liner on the Trailer Fenders # HP54VR for Extra Traction?
Question:
One review mentioned kind of thin material. I weigh 300lbs, can I safely stand on these fenders when installed on my boat? Also, can I spray truck bed liner on these fenders for foot grip?

For the Tandem Axle Teardrop Trailer Fenders for Boat Trailers - Steel - 14" Wheels # HP54VR, it really depends on how you install the fenders. If you bolt the fenders onto your boat trailer, they will definitely not be able to accommodate 300 pounds. If you weld the fenders on your trailer and include angled iron brackets for support like the # CE26236, this will get you closer to a 300 pound weight capacity (even though we cannot confirm this for sure).
As far as using truck bed liner spray on the # HP54VR, I confirmed with our tech that the fenders are raw steel coated with a light machine oil. For this reason, there may be a miniscule amount of rust upon shipping. For this reason, you can only apply bed liner spray only when the fenders have been properly prepped.
