Expert Reply:
The Curt Hitch - 2" # C13420 has a maximum towing weight capacity of 6,000 pounds when using a weight distribution system.
If you need a weight distribution system, I recommend the Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 7-Hole Shank # BLU77FR. The TrackPro comes with the head assembly, adjustable shank, hitch ball, spring bars, sway control L-brackets, lift lever, pin and clip, and all necessary hardware. With this system, even though it is rated for up to 10,000 pounds of max towing weight, it is important not to exceed the 6,000 pound capacity of the hitch and the overall towing weight capacity of your Telluride.
As with all hitches, I recommend confirming with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure your Telluride can handle the weight you wish to tow.
