Are the StrombergCarlson Lend-a-Hand Folding RV Handrails # AC-300 Available in Left or Right Models

Question:

are the different handles depending on whether you install to the right or to the left of the door opening? The instructions say that the holes are offset towards the door to help attach to a stud. However the one i have is offset so that it can be installed to the left of the door. is there another one with offset holes to install to the right of the door. Thanks.

I confirmed with my contact at StrombergCarlson that their Lend-a-Hand Folding RV Handrail, part # AC-300, and the similar aluminum version, part # AM-200, can both fold either to the left or to the right.

These two products differ in that the AC-300 uses a stainless steel handle with aluminum mounting blocks that secure with 4 screws, while the AM-200 uses an aluminum handle and plastic mounting blocks that secure with 2 screws.

Both products need to be mounted to a solid surface such as a wall stud or the blocking behind the RV door. Anodized aluminum mounting screws are provided, but ideally the hand rails should be bolted to the RVs wall studs for a snug fit.
