The Kat's Heaters Custom Fit Engine Block Heater - Cartridge Style - 120V - 400 Watts # KH11812 can be left in the "RF" port of your 2012 Hyundai Elantra GL 1.8L engine block but you should only run the block heater for a couple of hours before you plan on cranking the engine. If you're like me and want things to be easy you can buy an outlet timer and set it to two hours before you plan on leaving for the day so that it will automatically kick on and start warming the engine block.
