No Power To Blue Wire On A Tekonsha Prodigyh P2 Brake Controller
Question:
I was told to run a wire from my controller to my 7 way ok I will try? Even though I cut the blue wire and the OL is still on wouldn’t it not work? I took a test light and it did not light, is this low voltage coming out of the blue wire when I step on the petal. If so what would be the voltage. Also could the trailer brake control module that’s above the spare tire be bad. Thank you

The reason you do not have no power to the blue wire on your Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake # 90885 is because the Prodigy P2 is a proportional brake controller and requires the vehicle to be moving to send power to the brakes.
What you'll want to do is drive with the trailer and see if you can feel the trailer stopping. You can also test the blue wire while using the manual override while parked. If you still have no power, and have evaluated your connections are good, then you may have a bad brake controller and will need to be replaced.
