Can DeeZee Truck Bed Auxiliary Tank be Used to Carry Fresh Water

Can this be used to store fresh water if properly decontaminated?

If you are able to ensure that the fresh water will be safe to use after being stored in the 39 Gallon DeeZee Truck Bed Auxiliary Tank # DZ91752X then I suppose you could use it.
I don't know much in the way of being able to clean it like that and since this tank is designed to hold fuel I would be more inclined to recommend using the 36 Gallon Valterra RV Water Tank # R8072 instead just to be on the safe side of things.
