Recommended Trailer Hitch For Carrying A Bike Rack On A 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid
Question:
I am going to be getting a new 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid at the end of the month and will need to get a hitch put on it. This will be used to carry my Yakima HoldUp bike rack that I got from your guys a while back. Since it will be a Hybrid model, is the hitch I need different from the standard Escapes?

The American made Curt # C23FR that I recommend for your 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid will actually be the same hitch that fits the non-hybrid models as well. This isn't the case with every vehicle and hitch, but this one just so happens to be the same. With that said, this will handle your Yakima HoldUp # Y02443 perfectly and is actually a pretty quick and easy install as well. It require no trimming, but you may need to open up the access holes in the frame a little with a rotary tool to get the bolts to fit. Once installed, the cross tube will not be visible and the profile of the receiver has a nice stock kind of look to it, which is why I prefer this hitch.
