Need Replacement Trailer Wire Harness For 2019 Toyota Highlander
Question:
2019 highlander trailer plug stopped working no power coming from car side replaced tenkonsha adapter with curt 56217 and still no power from car what is going on? I added the tow package and tekonsha wiring harness and it worked great for 2 years and died. I assumed the harness burnt out and replaced it but still no luck.

Using a tester like Digital Multimeter with 42" Long Test Leads - LED Display # PT89ZR I would test the wiring starting at the factory plugs/connections and work your way back seeing if there is a short or bad ground. As well as checking all of your fuses just to be certain.
If that doesn't work you can either have a dealer check it out and charge you an arm and a leg to fix it or you can bypass the factory tow package completely with the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT.
