Hitch Classification of Curt Hitch 13703  

Question:

Your website states mod # 13703 is a class 3 receiver hitch which has a gtw of 3500lbs. Typical class 3 receiver hitches have a gtw of up to 8000lbs. Please advise why the difference. Thanks

The Class III hitch weight capacity range is between 3,500 and 8,000 lbs but I would say it's most commonly on the lower end of the range based on what we offer. I attached a picture that has the Class hitch capacity ranges of the Classifications.
