What is the Recommended PSI for Tires on the Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly with Vehicle Loaded/Not Loaded?
Question:
I just got a Kar Kaddy SS, and it bounces like crazy when I towed it back home empty. Do you have a recommended tire psi for empty and another for when hauling a 3,800 lb car onboard? Thanks

I went ahead and reached out to my contact at Demco, and he confirmed that when your Kar Kaddy SS # DM9713045 is empty, the tire pressure should be down to 20 psi. When your 3,800 pound vehicle is loaded on the Kar Kaddy, the tires should be inflated to 50 psi.
With all this being said, the Kar Kaddy SS is designed to be transported with a vehicle loaded. In general, there will be more bouncing depending on this factor as well the surface of the roadway. You can add either sand or salt bags to the tire pans and use the tire straps to attach them to the dolly. This will add some weight to help keep it from bouncing.
