What 3-Bike Rack do You Recommend for Our Super C Renegade Explorer RV?

Question:

Hello. We have a Super C Renegade Explorer RV. Looking to purchase a bike rack that will attach to the hitch. Need to keep 3 bikes in an enclosed compartment. Can you recommend something. Thank You

I have a great bike rack solution for you. Unfortunately, we do not carry a bike rack that comes with an enclosed compartment or a cover that will completely cover 3 bikes at the back of your Super C Renegade Explorer RV. The GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitch - Slide Out - 34 cu ft - 300 lbs # HGK819 only has enough room for 2 bikes max. The only cover that will work with your RV is the Swagman Bike Cover # S24FR, but this cover only will cover 2 out of the 3 bikes.

The best bet is for you to transport your bikes without a covering or solid compartment. We've had many neighbors who have transported their bikes across the country with non-covered bike racks. For this route, I recommend the Swagman Trailhead 3 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # S63365. The Swagman is RV/motorhome approved and is constructed in a way that can withstand the additional force/torque that is exerted when mounted on your rear hitch. Also, with the length of 9-1/2 inches from the center of the shank's pinhole to the upright arm of the rack, you will not need to worry about bumper clearance. For theft-deterrence of both the bikes and the rack itself, I recommend purchasing the etrailer Cable Lock # e98891 along with the Locking Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin # S64029.

If you are planning to transport children's bikes, women's bikes, or step-thru bikes, you will need the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005. The bike adapter bar will gives your bikes the straight, horizontal plane that is required to mount to the Trailhead's cradles.
