Should I use a fixed or sliding hitch for towing a 2020 grand design reflection on my 2021 Chevy 3500HD? I have a short bed with oem prep.

With your short bed on your 2021 Chevy Silverado 3500HD, I strongly recommend going with a sliding hitch option. The reason why is because you want to have enough clearance between the king pin and the cab to accommodate your trailer while making sharp turns.
For the absolute best option, I recommend the Demco Hijacker # DM8550034 (18K) or # DM8550035 (21K). The reason why the Hijacker is the best is because the hitch automatically slides when you turn so that you do not have to get out of your truck to make manual adjustments. It also has 3 different height settings for your tow-levelling needs. When using the Hijacker, you will need to purchase the Demco 5th-Wheel Adapter # DM6333 in order to install the hitch to your truck.
