Which Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit Fits Winnebago Minnie 2401RG
Question:
I am interested in this suspension upgrade kit but want to verify that it is compatible with the suspension on my 2018 Winnebago Minnie 2401RG trailer. I measured the dimensions of the equalizer on the trailer the long dimension is 5 3/4 inches and the two shorter dimensions are each 3 3/8 inches. From an equalizer standpoint I think this kit is compatible. The axles are Dexter 3500 lb axles. But the axle spacing is just over 29 inches, not 33 inches which is the nominal axle spacing for this kit. Perhaps the spacing is smaller than is typically the case because it uses 14 inch tires ST205/75R14. Can you confirm that this kit is compatible with this trailer? I think the the equalizer size is important but that the axle spacing is not. Thanks!

Expert Reply:
Since your current equalizers are 5-3/4 inches then the Dexter EZ Flex kit part # K71-652-00 that you referenced would for sure fit and work great. I wouldn't worry about the axle spacing differences as all that really matters is the width dimension you have mentioned and the capacity which these are good for up to 6,000 lbs.
