If you want to flat tow your 2022 Chevy Spark LT with a manual transmission you will need these items; a tow bar, a base plate, a supplemental braking system, safety cables, and the wiring to support this setup. This setup will not work if you have the Chevy Spark ACTIV.

My tow bar recommendation is the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs, part # RM-522. This tow bar is rated up to 6,000 lbs. It has non-binding arms, so you will never have any issues disconnecting this tow bar. It goes well with the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms, part # RM-523202-5. This base plate has removable drawbars. This base plate is unobtrusive with brackets that are recessed, so they sit back farther on your vehicle. You will also need safety chains. We are keeping this system all Roadmaster with the RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs, part # RM-643. These cables will attach to your tow vehicle and the flat towed vehicle.

We are going to move onto the supplemental braking system. I prefer that my supplemental braking system is a proportional brake setup. When you apply your brakes in your RV, proportional braking occurs in the towed vehicle relative to the braking action of your RV. In addition, this is a permanent system once it has been installed. It comes with a wireless transmitter that you keep in the RV that will let you know when the brakes have been applied in your tow vehicle. The last thing you need is the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs, part # RM-155. This will allow you to use your towed vehicle's lights to mirror the lights of your RV.
