Recommended Trailer Dolly for Moving a 2006 Aliner Expedition Trailer In/Out of Garage For Storage
Question:
I am a bit confused about weight capabilities for the trailer dollies. I have a 2006 Aliner Expedition, hitch weight 135 and weight apprx 1200, with only minimal extra cargo inside when storing. What dolly would you recommend to assist me getting my camper in my garage? I see in one of your posts, a picture of what appears to be a small dolly attached to a camper that looks very much my mine. Thanks so much for any advise.

The Rack'em Trailer Dolly # RA20 that you saw will support up to 500lbs of tongue weight and your 2006 Aliner Expedition has only 135lbs so there you are well within the limits. This dolly does not have a limit to the trailer weight as this will be limited by how much you can push and/or pull while it is being moved. Do remember if there is a slope going into or out of the garage that you will need to be able to push or stop the trailer with the incline. Since this dolly only comes with a 1-7/8" ball and all Aliner trailers use a 2" ball this may not be the best manual dolly available.
For the easiest option I recommend the Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly # TVXL2 which comes with a 2" hitch ball and will allow for you to easily move the trailer around with either the manual crank handle or by using the included Drill Attachment # TVDA on your cordless drill. If you need to stop the trailer the automatic brake will hold the trailer until you are ready to move again. This is capable of moving trailer up to 10,000lbs with a tongue weight up to 1,000lbs.
