Is the Malone AirFlow2 Easy to Remove
Question:
Are these designed to be taken off when not in use? If so, whats the ease of removal? I dont want to lose use of the sunroof on my 2021 Crosstrek when not hauling things on the roof.

The only time that you really need to remove the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MPG216 is if you were to take your 2021 Subaru Crosstrek through an automatic car wash where the machinery could damage the roof rack. Aside from that you can leave them installed all the time and you'll have more than enough clearance to open up your sunroof. Most manufacturers encourage people not to use the sunroof just to be on the safe side but really I've only seen potential clearance issues maybe twice but that's when the crossbars sit extremely low compared to the roof.
When it comes to removing the roof rack it is very simple to do so if you did want to remove it between uses you would be able to do so with little to no effort. We actually had the opportunity to install the AirFlow2 on a 2021 Crosstrek so I've linked that video for you to check out.
If you are looking for a way to transport a bike then I recommend using the Inno Fork Lock Roof Bike Rack # INXA391. This is a cost-effective fork-mount bike rack that is compatible with a wide range of bike styles and mounts to the channels of the Malone crossbars so it will have a very sleek look once installed. You will need to remove the front tire from your bike so you can either toss it in the back of your Crosstrek or you can toss it up on your roof using something like the Thule Wheel Carrier # TH98BV.
