Lithium Battery Compatible RV Power Converter to Replace Progressive Dynamics PD4575K18L

Question:

I have a 2017 Montana 3160 RL currently with a Go Power 320W Solar Elite kit two 160 W Go Power CTI-160 panels Vmp 18.42V, Voc 22.77V with a Go Power 2000 W inverter GP-SW 2000. The solar controller is the newer Go Power controller GP-WM-30-up with a lithium setting. There is a Go Power GP-TS transfer switch and an ESCO ES50M-65 transfer switch. The converter is a Progressive Dynamics PD 4575K18L that does not have a lithium switch Input 105-130 VAC, 50 to 60 Hz 1300 W and Output is 13.6 CDC, 75 A. I have an Onan RV QG 5500 LP generator model# 5.5 HGJAB-119J. I initially thought my current converter PD 4575K18L had a LI/LA switch, but when I took off the cover I found it had no switch. I just purchased three Battle Born 100 Ah GC2 batteries with heater kits. Is there in LI/LA switch or do I need to change out the converter? If I need to change out the converter then which on would one would you suggest?

There unfortunately isn't a switch you can install that will make your current converter compatible with Lithium batteries, but we do offer a replacement converter that is Lithium compatible.

You'll want to use # PD4575LICSV to replace your current converter. The # PD4575LICSV is only compatible with Lithium batteries, so you might want to hang on to your old one should you ever need to switch back to lead acid batteries for any reason.

I've linked to a product video featuring the converter.

@RobertI On the product page, located at; https://www.etrailer.com/Battery-Charger/Progressive-Dynamics/PD4575K18LS8.html, There is a link to the installation guide and wiring diagram which shows an optional chassis ground. When it comes to electric, it is a good idea to have an electrician or qualified RV professional complete your installation.
