If this hitch is too high and doesnt have enough for my travel trailer.. can i purchase a bigger hitch and still Install the parts on it?

Yes you can replace the shank of the Curt weight distribution system part # C17499 with one that has more drop so that your trailer can be towed level. For that the Curt part # C17121 would give you a drop of up to 7 inches.
