Recommended 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch For a 2015 Ford F-350 Short Bed That Has a B&W Turnover Hitch
Question:
2015 F 350 Super Duty short bed. Already equipped with with the BandM turn over ball gooseneck hitch. Is this the correct part to marry up with this gooseneck hitch? Just to be clear, this is the base and the coupler, correct? Are you of the opinion this is the best match? Thank-You

Yes, the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3400-5W is the correct 5th wheel hitch that will connect to the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1111 that you have in your 2015 Ford F-350 Super Duty with the 6.5' short bed.
You are correct that the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3400-5W does include the base with slider that drops into the square tube of the Turnover ball hitch. As well as the removable hitch head coupler.
This is definitely the best match for your F-350 as you get the ability to tow a 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer by swapping the 5th wheel in and out. But when you need to use your truck bed as a truck bed you can turnover the gooseneck ball and its as if there isn't a hitch in your bed. If you had 5th wheel rails those get in the way when trying to load things in the bed as they stick up 1" from the bed floor.
Be sure to use a Lube Plate # 16721 on your pin box as it will protect the hitch and give you a much quieter ride. And unlike grease it doesn't attract dirt and get all over you when you go to remove the hitch. I recommend keeping a spare in your truck incase it gets damaged or disappears from the pin box.
