Replacement Pin Box Compatible with the Demco Autoslide
Question:
I am looking at upgrading the standard Lippert pin box on my 2021 Grand Design Solitude S-Class 3540GK-R. Which do you recommend for full time coast to coast travel? I am pulling it with a 2018 Ram 3500 short bed dually Megacab with a Demco autoslide.

The first thing you need to do is figure out what pin box you have. I have attached an article that helps you figure out how to find what pin box you have. I know you said you have a Lippert pin box, but that should also be accompanied by a number, such as 1621. The Lippert 1621 is one of the more popular pin boxes.
The Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC158778 is a great upgrade option for your pin box. It is made in the USA and replaces the standard pin box on your 5th-wheel trailer to cushion your ride, improve handling, and limit strain on your truck and trailer. It will minimize chucking and help to eliminate bouncing and jarring. This is a replacement for the Lippert 1621 and 1621HD pin box, so if that is what you have this is a great option and is compatible with your Demco Autoslide.
If after you figure out what pin box you have and it is not a 1621 or 1621 HD you can use the attached link to our pin boxes and use the pin box information you found to locate the correct replacement. Or you can reach back out to me with that information and I would be happy to help you find the correct replacement.
